What is it? S.A.L.T. is short for Serving and Learning Together. We gather together quarterly for service learning projects. This year we will volunteer with God's Garden, Christmas Shoppe, Gallatin Valley Food Bank and Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter.
One of the key reasons for SALT is to build relationships in an intentional setting. There has been research done that shows the more people who are involved in the faith lives of our youth, the greater success there is in the future with helping those youth continue to develop their faith.
S.A.L.T. also provides an opportunity to gather together, to share a meal, and to connect with people who may have some understanding to what you are going through in life. Whether you are a grandparent, a parent, another caring adult in the congregation, or a youth, there is a place for you here to come and share what is happening in your life and to hear what is happening with others.
Finally,. In gathering together every other month for service, we are able to learn more about the community in which we live while also being able to reach out and serve.
