This  book is a great place to start...IT is also the book we will be reading for S.A.L.T. in March!
Based on several years of research that Dr. Chap Clark did while "undercover" as a substitute teacher, this book provides research that is helpful and practical ideas for creating "faith that sticks" past high school.  

This book covers topics such as Relationships, Communication, and Identity.

This is a great new article from Huffington Post written by an adult to middle school youth.  It reflects on truths that middle schoolers should know. 

Middle School "Cool Kids" are not alright.
This article posted in the Washington Post talks about a research study that has followed middle school kids into their 20's and reflects on the idea that those who are "cool" in Middle School statistically struggle more in young adulthood.

This blog entry posted by the NY times is another indicator that if youth are too caught up in being cool in middle school that they will struggle later in life.
