Faith Formation for
Infant and Toddlers

Welcome!

Have you gotten any sleep recently?
As the parent of an infant or toddler we know where you are.  Life is hectic and crazy and at times even overwhelming.  Sometimes our goals go out the window as we change diapers...and try to steal a few minutes of sleep each night.  Our hope at Hope Lutheran is to equip you as a parent of a very young child to help them to grow up to be a faithful adult.  If you haven't started faith based routine with your family, now is a great time to do so!
How do you faithfully parent your infants and toddlers?
There are many ways to help the youngest member of your family grow in faith!  In fact, it is crucial to start doing faith formation activities with your child today.
All research points to the idea that most of a child's faith formation happens at home.  Likewise starting early as your young child is developing will create live-long habits that will go with your child throughout his or her life.
On this site you will find three types of opportunities to help you with the task of faith formation!

1)  In Person Opportunities
These opportunities are provided for you and your family to attend in order to grow in your faith. These may take place at Hope Lutheran Church or at an off site location, but they require attendance at the event in order to gain anything from them.  In Person events may include Sunday School, Stepping Stones events, Small Group meetings, Bible Studies, Confirmation classes and much more.
2)  At Home Activities
These opportunities are provided for you and your family to participate in at your own time in your own space.  Click on the links above to discover helpful websites that will give you lots of ideas.  Also pay attention to the suggested idea of the week as each week we will provide a new faith formation resource for each age group.
At Home activities for adults may include video clips, online bible lessons, opportunities to dive further into the scriptures for the week and more!
3)  Additional Resources
These are suggested resources to support you on your faith journey.  In each category you will find recommended books that you can purchase, online journal and news articles, blogs, and other helpful tools.

All About Baptism
"Have you had your child baptized?"   If your answer is "No," there's a good chance that someone has asked your that question in the recent past!  Baptism is an important step in a child's faith journey and can be easily arranged at Hope Lutheran Church!  Click here to find out all you need to know about arranging to have your child baptized!
